Haircut!

Hi everyone - it's me, Ella!

So for the first time in my life, I got my long locks cut!  Just wanted to share my experience with you.

The very first cut - it didn't hurt, don't worry!  As per my mom, it's just like getting your nails cut, you don't feel it.

Check out this princess station - how cool is that?  Right up my alley.

I contemplated getting bangs, but I (ahem, I should say my mom) chickened out.  Maybe one day!

Here is the finished product - my hair stylist Carly even put these cute little ponytails and flowers in my hair!

Can't wait to go back one day!

Love, Ella xoxo

Happy Thanksgiving!

This weekend I celebrated my first Thanksgiving ever.  It was so nice to spend some quality time with the family at my Auntie Kathryn and Uncle Kaare's house in Encinitas.  I have so much to be thankful for - a wonderful family, yummy food (the mushed up sweet potatoes were scrumptious), and last but not least an endless amount of objects to chew on!  This is my favorite habit lately because my two bottom teeth are coming in, so I am constantly on the lookout for gnaw-able objects.

Auntie Jess put me on Kye's bouncy horse to play.  Bonus!  An ear to chew on!

Chewing on Kye's jumpy toy - I hope he doesn't mind me chewing on everything?

A plush toy's face?  Yes please!

Uncle Eric making me laugh...

Aside:  my mom wants me to mention that I sure do look like Ella in this picture when she was the same age.  To remind you, here she is back in the day making the same face!

Anyhoo...the next day my sis and I were chilling in the backyard and my mom snapped a few pics.  I love Ella so much - she makes me laugh so hard every day!  I don't know what I'd do without her.  Even when I see a picture of her I start giggling!

I love the swings at the park!

What a fabulous weekend.  I loved Thanksgiving and can't wait for next year!

Love, Ava xoxo

P.S. Ella pulled off the letter "x" on my keyboard so thank goodness there aren't many words with x's in them!  It sure does slow my typing down.  Silly Ella.

P.P.S.  Don't forget to post comments, I'd love to hear your feedback!

Boo! It's me, Ella!

Hey everybody!

So sorry I have been so bad at keeping in touch, but I have been so busy just living life!  Being 2 years old is so great, yet so exhausting.  In September I started preschool at Westpark Montessori four days a week.  I must admit it was a bit overwhelming at first, but now I am really enjoying it.  I have three teachers and they are so great.  We sing songs, learn phonics, play, eat, do our "jobs" (mom still hasn't figured out what that means exactly), and just have fun!  Every day when my mom leaves I have to say "mommy's coming right back" - just to make sure she doesn't forget!

October is one of my favorite months of the year.  Every year we go to this super cute pumpkin patch in Irvine with my BFF Evan.

Check out all of the pumpkins!

I was actually big enough to ride the ponies this year - although I started slowly tilting to one side after awhile and the man working there had to prop me back up.

Random shot of me and my baby sister Ava - had to make sure her heart was sounding OK!

This was another fun day we had at another park with my friend Karis, her mom Angelina, and her dad Jeff!  Karis and I rode in a trailer behind our dads' bikes and met our moms and Ava for a picnic lunch.  It was sooo much fun!

This shot is to show you the cool horses, and also how long my hair is now!  My mom keeps asking me if I want to go and get a haircut at a cool kids salon with a princess chair but I'm just not ready yet.

Here I am with my mom and dad (Ava was sleeping)

This is my class at school yesterday for Halloween!  I'm so happy in this pic (I'm the princess on the left) because I just found out that Auntie Jess was coming to watch my parade!

Took a step out of the "parade" (two loops around the school) to pose for Auntie Jess:)

I was soooo excited to go trick or treating - I could hardly contain myself!

Look at how cute my baby sister is!  We made a kitty pumpkin to match her costume.

Too bad she slept for most of the evening - my mom says she can't eat candy anyway since she doesn't have teeth.  Poor Ava!

The Woodbury posse stopping for a photo op - from left to right is me, Evan, Samuel, Maddison, Ryan and Dylan.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Ella xoxo
